-Wood-
Constructed from prime grade solid oak  sanded to a smooth fine finish with lightly eased edges. professionally jointed from solid oak with a Scandinavian prime pine core giving high strength and stability and allowing the mantel to be an ideal lighter weight. I also choose to make the pine core as it is a very sustainable timber. all my timbers are sourced from reputable FSC approved mills.

-Finish-
Semi-satin white painted top and bottom that rolls over the front edge just slightly enhancing the two tone colours. the exposed oak front adds texture and unique colouring, which is finished in a clear wax.
Finished to a very high standard. all items are made by myself from start to finish.

-Concealed Fixings-

Supplied with 2-5 supports depending on size. My shelves have a section in the mantel rear to accomodate the support bars and washer allowing the shelf to sit nice and snug against the wall.The support bars supplied are suitable for solid walls. note that if you have a hollow plasterboard wall then a strengthening batten or blockwork might need to be added behind the plaster/fire board for strength .Simple & detailed fitting instructions are provided in the box.
